Whip It

Ok, so I'm not the greatest person when it comes to seeing the latest movies, but I feel Whip It should have its own page. I found, that though Ellen Page looked different, she basically acted the same like in all of her movies. I mean, ALL OF THEM. And I love Kristen Wiig, I honestly do, but I wanted to cry when I saw her acting performance; it was so.. normal. Not the Kristen Wiig I know, the funny sketches from SNL, nothing. Oh, and the only spot of un-Ellen Page-y-ness, was that she told a blue haired lady she liked her hair. I swear to god, it was a mess; the stupid indie rock stuff that only a nerdy teenage girl would love. The "Indie" lost its independence in 2009. So, soooo sad.

However, I really liked Drew Barrymore's performance, Ciara's, and Jimmy Fallon's. Oh, and Marcia Gay Harden. Haha, gay... Sorry, off track. But they didn't get lost in the indie rock mess. And the whole Roller Derby thing was good, too.

A half-star flick.
